The Semester Reflection

I’m incredibly fortunate to have this class,  I learned more than I expected, and completed all of my work. First of all, I would like to say that in these few days of class, I already feel like I’m learning a lot from here. For example, I’ve been introduced to several terms such as author, purpose, genre, etc. Although I have heard of these terms many times and might also use them in previous semesters, we applied them differently for this class. This class gave me a deeper understanding of these terms and helped me to enhance my research paper, a genre that is something essential in our everyday lives. Next is the author, maybe people think authors only apply to book writers but you are your own author and anything you create. I learn the purpose, I feel like every writer has a purpose because without a purpose you can’t send a message to your audience.  Before writing any paper, you have to know the purpose and what you are trying to achieve. While doing the forward-facing project I learned about tone a little more and how tone is used to convey how the speaker or author is feeling and put across their opinion and thoughts on the situation and is a way to show the attitude of the writer or the speaker. It helped me to understand rhetorical situations better. I’m glad to have this class because I now learned how to use all these terms properly. I had an amazing experience working on the projects we have done so far. I learned about the audience and improved my research skills while writing this piece. I’ve figured out how to use evidence in my writing. I believe I was able to achieve this goal because I couldn’t figure out how to write in a way that was both significant and understandable.
